Slow Flow + Restore
This class is designed to open the body with gentle, slow, and traditional yoga postures and movements. It’s a combination of postures coordinated with the breath, performed at a gentle pace which allows time to be present in each pose. After some gentle movement, the class will transition to a restorative practice with longer holds, deeper stretches, and relaxation techniques. This class provides the opportunity to explore your practice, to find the play between strength and flexibility, stability and ease, and to gain a greater understanding of physical alignment and balance. Suitable for all-levels, beginners welcome.
Yin Yoga is a slow paced, meditative asana practice. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. This practice aligns with the traditions of Traditional Chinese Medicine and focuses on tending to physical and subtle (emotional/mental) bodies.
This class focuses on nourishing body and mind through passive stretches supported by bolsters, blankets and blocks. Postures are held for longer durations with an emphasis on support, comfort, and breath. This class features long holds and aids in relaxation, release and renewal. Suitable for all levels.
